Checking in 19 days gamble free tough week but not to do with gambling until today payday tomorrow so the thought keeps regularly trying to make itself heard knowing I will be skint as soon as it's gone into the bank but blockers in place I can not play I will not play, really good to see so many being strong especially through this week with Cheltenham well done big pat on the back to you all, sorry to hear of slips but your here right back on the horse of recovery ☺
I will win today as I will not gamble x

Right troops we are missing 33 check ins, thats a lot of soldiers to go, please find your way onto here before midnight Saturday and get safely checked in!

Cheltenham day 3 is gone and I have still not been troubled, no urges, no interest in it, just been keeping my head down and getting on with work. The week without talksport or skysports has really helped too, theres not been any Cheltenham bookies adverts that I've noticed on ITV or Channel 4 this week. I will watch skysports again from tomorrow night. Hope everyone else is coping with Cheltenham ok.

I'm going to start tonight with the monster of all woop woops!! In fact, it's a woop woop de woop woop moment and a landmark day in the challenge and it's history - never have we had 2 soldiers celebrate one year free gambling on the same day - yet here we are!! 2 very very special people who have been making these pages more rich for the last year - triangle and Ringerbell - congratulations to you both - you are amazing, an inspiration and prove it can be done - I've seen you in your dark places in the last year but you've done it........and I'm convinced that you'll fight just as hard tomorrow as you did yesterday. I'm so so pleased for you and proud of you.

So many reasons to celebrate and I'd be here all night if I had to name names......but the one other I must mention is Phil. This time last year you were hiding from Cheltenham and then fell half way round the track.......this year you celebrate the century and are facing the challenge head on. I wish you knew how proud I am of you.

Mr B checking in for the week.

Hi,

My name is Dan and I would like to join the 2015 challenge. I am now 22 days gamble free and going well.

My vice was roulette, specifically on FOBT's, however I would get a thrill from betting on almost anything - I started gambling 15 years ago when i was 14 on fruit machines in arcades which progressively got worse to the point I am now thousands in debt.

I have been attending GA meetings and have tried to post on here as much as i can. Ultimately, my goal is to stay gamble free forever and feel that these early steps are key. I feel that this challenge will benefit me over the course of the year in attempt to kick this addiction.

Thanks,

Checkinin day 79. 3 weeks to the big 100. Think that would take me past my efforts from 2010 when I went jan feb march gamble free but got back into it in april. Surprised ive had no interest in betting on the football this year. I dont even bother paying any interest in tge lower leagues anymore. I have no idea whos where and whos in form.

Not at work today so will watch the least day of the Cheltham festival. Never had a problem with gambling on the gee gees. Will watch it for the entertainment value.

triangle and Ringerbell I really can't wait to read your posts today. Congratulations on sticking together and staying strong for a full year. Very few who start on here are able to see out a full year, but those who do reap the rewards. A year gamble free is a dream for all of us in the early days and I hope your stories will inspire more troops to keep fighting and reach the milestone for themselves. Well done to the two of you, I hope you have a few well earnt drinks tonight to celebrate!!!

Checking in day 40 gamble free! Congrats on the 100 day point bornagain. Im excited about reaching the 50 day mark! The longest I will have been without gambling for 8 years. Exciting times.

Hope nobody had problems with Cheltenham. The way it's forced down your throat when these events are on is disgusting and a real danger for us problem gamblers.
