2 weeks free of the devil we all know!

Another and probably the most important part of mine and everyones recovery would be NOT to go it alone. You need to be honest with those closest to you, speaking on here is great but you need support with people in your house or close family. The more of secret the gambling is, the more of a struggle it is for us to control.
The importance of surrounding yourself with as many good people as possible is second to none. I don’t believe we were put on earth to be alone with our troubles. You must find your true one supporter that will help you through thick and thin! . All you really need is one person to have your back and it makes your belief that you will be free of this disease, infinitely easier.
If you think you may lose the respect of that person, trust me you will lose a lot more if you keep it secret. I was due to be married and within a few weeks of the wedding she saw my bank statements and saw how much trouble I was it. I could hear her heart shatter into a million pieces, it was the most vivid and most shameful seconds of my life. She could not trust me anymore and left me. Alone, weak and ashamed. Dont be that person I was, please.
Have a great gambling free day, week and year and lifetime,
Ru x

Hey

I'm Josh, been gambling for 7 years but has only got serious over the last year, mainly bet on Sports. I'm starting as of today, so haven't made a day. After speaking to the hotline I have decided to join the forums. Looking at possibly arranging some weekly councilling, what are peoples views on the councilling, anyone had them? If so they help?

Josh
