Have any of you ever had an advance from work after a relapse? After some relapses I'm not sure how to fund my travel to work until the end of March and I'm at a loss on what to do. Did you feel judged or that it effected anything? I've got a pretty well paid job so I'm scared I'll get a lot of judgement

Hi... interesting. I am in a similar position, except in a low paid job. Personally I think that if you can get mainstream credit then do so. get a pay day loan or something. my credit rating is so bad that i can't even do that, so i am considering asking for an advance, but that's only because of my level of financial hardship.

I guess it also depends on your companies values and ethos. Do they support people with mental health issues? In theory mine does as I work in the care sector but then also many care companies are also companies for profit and being a relatively small company are they really interested in the health and well being of their staff?... they seem to sack people quite easilly I notice, for seemingly spurious reasons. I might just decide to wing it and live on fresh air and ration food. It beggars belief what this addiction brings us to

All the best with what you decide to do.... the bottom line... we gotta stop gambling before it kills us.
