Hi all or any who read this
So I walked into the bank on Friday ready to clear my overdraft and be the happiest I have been in a good while with a holiday on the horizon then I was told I would have to make an appointment to see someone next week I felt instant dread at having to keep a hold of this money for any length of time. Now on Sunday I can no longer clear that overdraft I can lower it by a fair bit but I have still lost several hundred pounds playing on the virtual sports online in the past 48 hours, I managed to break the vice of FOBTs instore only to fall into this trap and that is what has brought me back to this website because last time it greatly helped, it gave me support and a forum to air my feelings which makes things easier rather than letting thoughts rattled around in my head which is never good.
It seems to be these short snappy games that draw me in, I never drop as much on a live event as I do on those types of games I am really lucky that a lot of my money is out of my account currently and will be returned over the next week because I know wwhat would have happned to it if it wasn't... and that is why I really need some support.

Hi, well done for posting, disappointing your bank couldn't see you straight away but that small excuse is all us gamblers need isn't it !. I can relate to the games, so many times I would have a decent winner on something real, football or horses, only to give it back on the virtuals in the evenings whilst bored. Just think the house always wins, they control the games, they must have 100 versions of each game saved they can play whichever way the money goes down to suit them. Make a vow to never bet again and it will only get easier in time. Chop that overdraft down to as low as possible when you do get an appointment, and limit funds as best you can until you grow stronger, good luck !
Hi Andrew thanks for the reply, you're right that is all we need I got my overdraft down by over 2/3rds and have booked another appointment for the day I get paid to get rid of the rest. I'll post back on the 28th with confirmation that I've ridded myself of it.
