40 years old. Been trying and failing to stop for the past decade. Accept now that only total abstinance from gambling in any form is needed. This insanity must stop and I look forward to happier days ahead. I am a compulsive gambler and always will be.

Ive been a compulsive gambler for 20 odd years but i now see myself as a non gambler, not had a bet since friday which is a long time for me believe but you have to have the mindset you are no longer a gambler, some great advice on here, main one for me being plan tomorrows day that doesnt involve gambling, im just about to blitz my gardens top to bottom with the tunes flowing in the background and im actually looking forward to it, sound mad tbh ha.
Hi. Thanks for your reply. Actually I enjoy a bit of gardening myself so it's not mad at all. I've just closed all my accounts online and I feel that the key for a gambling free life is to find new things to enjoy instead of doing the same things year in year out. I have a tendency to isolate myself too which is no good so the new me will be a more social one. I wish you all the best my friend.
Another day free from gambling and looking forward to beating my previous personal best of six months. I'd had a stressful day at work and was depressed and I couldnt shake the urge to gamble. This time around I have an idea of my triggers. Looking forward to my new addiction-free life.
