Does anyone know how you set notifications up on your credit report if any searches have been made?
Thanks
I haven't found a free service for this yet. I'm signed up with Noddle alerts although I had a refund recently as for the past year apparently it wasn't working properly which doesn't inspire much faith. Experian offer it but their premium access which includes it is £15/ month. I check the credit reports which are updated monthly regularly as there can be differences depending where lenders report. They're available free from all three agencies now.
Mr L's credit score is shot anyway which is some reassurance but he's also lodged notices of correction with each agency saying he doesn't want to be offered credit even if he applies for it and/or appears to qualify. I have a feeling you might be able to place some sort of CIFAS alert which may slow things down but can't remember exactly how this works or whether you can do it if there hasn't been fraudulent activity.
How do you lodge notice of correction? Agencies being equifax? Experian?
Agencies are Equifax, Experian and Callcredit. You have to write to them to lodge a NOC - address will be on their websites.
If it's for his report, he has to apply.
