I have had a recent relapse unfortunately. My friend turned 30 last month and we celebrated his birthday at the races. I didn’t plan to bet as I was still gf, but I did and lost but it was only £50 so not the end of the world. Since I have been in an amusement and hit the £500 (£480 excluding what I put in) and two times in two bookmakers on the roulette first time putting in £110 and taking out £380 second time putting in £580 taking out £750. This is so dangerous and this shops was out of my town. I have no added these to my self exclusion and there are non in a close by range. So am able to avoid them unless out of town. I felt so in control before and now I have gone back to the old me with that raging dengenrate gambling feeling urging me to gamble and to make things worse I have won 3 out of four times. I need to get back on track and stick to paying debts and focusing on a better me.

Hi Icanttakethisanymore,

It has been a while since you posted this and I wonder how you are doing?

Lapsing can be very disheartening and you have achieved so much. Maybe you would like to continue discussing this on your recovery diary. A diary is not just a record of when things go well, it is also a record of when things do not go so well and the up and down of these are all part of recovering from a gambling problem.

You can do this and you can feel in control again!

Kind wishes

Gabriele
