Please can you tell me why we can no longer access u tube on here. The supportive music thread has been going for many months and could have been added to by newbies but pretty pointless if cant click on to the songs.

The lyrics of songs are often a good way of expressing our feelings of support to others when we are at a loss as to know what to say so sad that no longer able to on this site and with no warning and no apparent reason.

Hi Dragonfly,

I've just clicked on a number of links in that thread ( http://www.gamcare.org.uk/forum/index.php?tid=237512 ) and they've all worked for me, so I'm not sure what the cause of the problem you experienced might be exactly. A few links haven't worked, but I think that's due to how they were copied in by the forum user, rather than any access being blocked. Otherwise, it may have been a temporary problem with the website. Have another try, maybe even using a different web browser, and if you still experience problems let us know.

I agree that it's a positive thread and a good way of expressing support for others, and I'm glad you've found it beneficial.

Travis

Hi thanks for quick response.

I was meaning the u tube songs on my own thread and other people's as opposed to the music thread, however I find that the recent ones wont open on music thread either but the older ones do so not sure why as same server.

Have been also told by others that they have the same problem as well and can't open links.

Hello Dragonfly,

You are probably aware of the following information, but also as a reminder for other forum members, when you are typing a post for the forum, you'll see above the message box there are 5 icons, the one on the right says URL. When you are creating a link, after pasting the address into the message box you also need to highlight it by left-clicking your mouse and dragging the cursor across the address so that the text is highlighted, and then clicking on URL ...this makes the the link functional. I've tested creating links this way and it is working for me, for example here is a link to your diary:

http://www.gamcare.org.uk/forum/index.php?tid=268052&page=83

I hope those details help, if you continue to have difficulty posting links then please let us know. Another way to contact a forum admin is by emailing forumadmin@gamcare.org.uk

Take care,

Adam.

Many thanks Adam,

have just tried URL and it works but really strange that I never used that before and could always access the songs - weird - but will remember to use in future.
