can anyone recommend blocking software which is compatible with a nokia lumia 800. It's a windows based phone - I've just downgraded from an iphone as can't find anything to block gambling for an iphone

They don't explicitely block gambling sites, but you may be able to discuss how comprehensive this blocker works with their customers services team. You could also consider talking to your bank and changing your bank account to an account which is often called "basic" account. This comes with a bank card which cannot be used online.
