Just wanted to ask peoples opinion, when you are arranging payment plans or asking for utility debts to be wiped off is it best to be truthful and say you've had a gambling problem? Are companies understanding about this?

Thank you

Hi julie237,

I had alot of debt to sort out, I decided to use a free service call Stepchange charity.

Talk to them, they will go through all your bills and will set up a repayment plan to get you out of debt completely.

I am still with Stepchange and now only have 4 payments left.

I will be making sure that in my future I will have no debt and will start saving for my retirement.

You can do the same, don't gamble and one day you will see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Let Stepchange decide if debts should be wiped off or you decide to pay everyone what you owe them.

You will feel much better if you pay everyone what you owe them.

Hope this is helpful
