Hi All

Joined this site today as I really need to stop gambling. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I want a normal life

What's your poison? Getting the gambling (Time-Money-Location, remove one & you cannot gamble) broken will help you abstain! There are self exclusions options: OldhamKTF has a thread with telephone numbers for multiple shop exclusion, blocking software (k9 is apparently free) exists for online accounts! Handing over finances to loved ones is very common (embarrassing @ times but I needed it). Discovering old & new hobbies may help to keep you busy.

Finding out your triggers, what causes you to gamble (stress & anxiety are common) & what you feel it offers you is something to explore because knowing why we do something makes it easier for us to do things differently! GA meetings are all round the country & GamCare offer free counselling...There are plenty of tools on this site so have a look round, you may find it helps you feel less alone with your problems!

We cannot win because we cannot stop but recovery is free! Welcome to recovery Moomoo 🙂
