I have been in this rut for over 20 years.

I have recently owned up to my amazing parents and given them access to see my bank account which is stopping me with other actions from gambling. However I have turned increasingly to other things to fill the void.

Has anyone else been through this. I couldn't mention it to the olds as they wouldn't get it!

Hi puppetpower,

What caused the void initially that triggered gambling and subsequently drugs ?

Is it boredom, depression, loneliness, work problems, relationship troubles or a mixture of things ?

You may need to discuss this with a health professional so you can get to the root cause.

If you already know the root cause then fill the void with sport and or other hobbies.

Loneliness was one of the initial gambling triggers for me years ago. That caused a void in my life.

Take Care Now

Ask yourself not why am i addicted but why do i feel pained. Addiction is not your problem it is your solution. People are kept locked into there addiction by their painful pasts their distressing present & their bleak outlook for their future
