34 days today!! Getting there! Big aim for 50, then onto 100. Been here before though, twice. This time is different.

But as I'm only 34 days, had a very expensive month of weddings and had that infamous "overdraft limit" txt from my bank! Uh oh! Luckily only 2 days til my payday. That's when the challenge starts! Leaving that money there!

My june pay was blown before I even had it. My July one will stay there for the month.

Anyone into the 100's or 200's that can reassure me that you will have more money with no gambling?

Thegerman

Fella a much wiser gentleman than I stated on my first night in GA

'Through not placing that first punt you gift yourself a 100% pay rise'

I didn't understand the true meaning of those words until well over a years continuous abstinence because with honesty my last episodes of gambling had devastated my financial situation long after the day I committed to recovery.

Addiction constantly whispered sweet nothings about my continued commitment to feeding it would provide the 'answer' to all my woes.

That statement is utterly wrong, we all know it, our active gambling mantra sees to that

I CANNOT WIN BECAUSE I CANNOT STOP

By arresting the next punt you do indeed gift yourself a 100% pay rise

You become a winner without waging a single penny

My advice Enjoy it! !!!!!!!

I look at my gambling life today and think it would have been easier to have had my salary paid direct to the bookies

Because it would have saved the most important thing I cannot ever regain

TIME.

keep making the right choice

Abstain and maintain

Duncs stepping forward never back
