Would you be more likely as a female to seek help through GA if there were women only meetings?
That's a great question and for me it's a definite yes. I haven't attended GA and would go if there was a women's only meeting. I don't know any women in my area with gambling problems. They are here alright but we just don't know each other. I learn a lot from your dairies and like your style. It works for me because you get me to think deeper and make the necessary changes to a better life. Thanks for the time you spend on here. It makes great reading and stays with me.
Take care,
Suzy
Thanks Suzy ,

Hi, I'm the only woman who regularly attends my local GA meeting, (there is one other lady, but I've only seen her once). Being the only female isn't scary, the group treat me just the same and welcome me as a recovering CG, one of the team. Don't be frightened to attend girls, it's a very positive experience and I'm finding it invaluable on my journey. I was a person who gambled in secret online and was horrified by the idea of talking to real life people about my addition. It's actually one of the best decisions I've ever made xx
Thats great Casey. The rooms arent about whether we are male or female, black or white, rich or poor. What we all are is addicts seeking recovery & that is the only thing that counts
