Hello lukey2016,

Welcome to the Forum. It sounds like gambling has taken a big role in your life and you are constantly pre-occupied with thoughts about it. Perhaps it is the large amount of money that you lost that draws you back, hoping someday you will get it back. Whatever the reason behind it is, it is important that you become aware of it and find another solution to the issue.

We provide advice and can refer you to counselling to help you through this. You have your whole life ahead of you and you can make a change now with the right support. I would like to encourage you to get in touch with an advisor by either connecting online or calling the Helpline to discuss your concerns.

Sharing the problem could make it easier to handle, so there is no need to go through this on your own.

Best wishes,

Hi Lukey2016

You are still in the best place to talk about it online.

If you carry on it will be many many times that amount. You must stop and join us gamble free

What struck me about your post is that everybody lost an amount that drove them to a horrendous low. A low that they couldnt handle any more. Its not really the amounts we compare.

Please please ring gamcare and you should also book an appointment with the doctor to talk it through.

You have been honest and there is hope with plenty of help available. I see you joined in september 2015 and you must now start the process of getting a healthy state of mind again

You will have to let that money go as part of this process. You have clearly suffered depression and it may actually be one of the reasons you have gambled.

There is no shame in asking for help. You have an addiction and an illness.

I can assure you it can be beaten and you will reach a stage where you wonder why you ever did it

Best wishes
