Day 6 gamble free Well I'm on way to work, feeling alot better recently gonna be honest always thinking of how can win money back and what I've lost etc but I'm guessing it's going to be this way for a very long time, had a nice chat with my fieonce last night and we going to clear my depts much faster then I thought, because we are moving back to parents house for 7 months while our house is geting built means can pay more off my loan and save a little less in till paid it off so it's looking up and my gf got a new job which helps us out even more, just gotta keep strong and beat this can't let the girl down, if i fail then the perfect life has gone for me, hope you all have a nice day

Evening Paul hope you have had a good day.

I'm glad your fiancГ© is supportive and yous are working together to clear your debts faster. Put as many barriers in place as possible so when you have the urge to gamble you can't.

I've been there with the snapping at the kids when your on aa lose. Thankfully kids don't really remember and while we feel bad they have forgot it even happened.

Take care mate

Hi,

Well done on the first 7 days which can be difficult so all in all a fantastic achievement.

As you say take things one day at a time then 7 becomes 8 then 14 then a month.

I look daily for any risks there may be which will obstruct my recovery. Today I have to go into town so will leave my card at home (slots in bookies were my downfall). No card = no extra money = no gamble.

Your attitude is spot on. Keep embracing recovery.

Best wishes

Thanks for your post P,

You will never win a couple of grand even if you won it lol, because it would all go back in in the same day, next day, or week if you could stay that strong with your winnings.

Keep focused and just push through, they won't last long, and your rational side will be twice as strong again when the calm waters come back,

Well done on passing one week, the first week can be hard but you have done it.

Keep the triangle broken, and keep positive.

Suzanne xxx

Well done, keep it going. I'm at 2 weeks gamble free today and feel much better for it. It is a good feeling when you start to see your debt coming down instead of shooting up rapidly.

Thanks alot and same to you 🙂 yeah I agree I do feel alot better inside, just not having that feeling of going into a bookies knowing I'm going to win or lose is a good feeling I think I've accepted now that I'm never going to win back what I've lost or repeat that 20k win I had so I think.this is the attuide I've needed, onwards and upwards for us all mate

Keep going!!! Think about how you feel today compared to the day after you last gambled...that always helps because that feeling is horrible! X
