Hi guys

Away for the weekend, lots of temptations but I will remain focused on the bigger picture, a quick gamble will only start off the circle of distraction.

Shaun

Have a great weekend. Yes the temptation brings a harder trek.
Speak soon.

Hi guys

Negotiated the weekend safely, it’s only when you avoid betting shops you realise how many there are, oh well, let them enjoy it while it lasts - when the stake is cut to £2 on the FOBT’s, a lot will be no more.

That's Fab, Shaun. Glad you had a great weekend. Yes it's surprising how many betting shops and more appearing.

My eye is much better, more sensitive to the light. I will carry on with the drops.

Have a great day.

Yes Bella, a heck of a lot of betting shops but I have noticed in my home town that one or two are putting up signs closing soon and directing customers to one of their branches around the corner.

It’s the betting shops the industry describes as ‘machine shops’ (where they get most of their revenue through FOBT’s) that are under threat.

About time!

Yes it is about time, but the fear then is there then is more TV ads and more online activities.

Have you seen on the tablets the kids play on. They can download free games, 9 yr old playing make up games, stops every few minutes to entice kids to play gambling games to win a different colour lipstick for example.

Have a fab day.. 🙂

Hi guys

Makes my blood boil, trying to get youngsters hooked at an early age, they have no morals and all they see is profits. Anyway, we can’t change the system but what we can do is give them a ‘V’ sign and say ‘we are not participating in your con’.

Hi guys

Day 130 and still in there fighting.

Remember guys, don’t get conned into the gambling world, because that’s what it is, a con.

Hey Shaun
Broke the bank spending today. Twelve hundred spent today. 800 on a ottaman bed and 400 on a cooker. Both are gorgeous. Top of the range of prices I ever thought possible. Full price no sales, no wheeler dealing to save some for later. Just paid. Cooker arrives Tuesday and bed on Wednesday. I haven't finished yet. Ikea shopping for furniture next.

Strange feeling. If I had spent that on gambling it would have gutted me and made me sick. But knowing I'm making my home more beautiful is worth it.

I have blinds and furniture next to buy. Then it's a matter of saving. As I'd like a new bathroom eventually.

Nearly £90 in my pot, I will price up blinds and use it with that.

Chat tomorrow.

Always stopping by for a boost of your positivity. Just been reading back on my post before my recent diary and you was the person who helped me believe that I did not need to gamble anymore and to something about it. Since then I haven’t gambled for 66 days. Thank you and have a good gamble free weekend.

Hi guys

Feel I am turning a corner in my life, still gamble free and got my 2 stone award at slimming world this day. I started both around the same time and realise now, both for me, go hand in hand (sorry if it’s a little too deep for a Saturday morning).

Excellent to read on onwardsandupwards you are 66 days gamble free, I feel you have your life on track and in control when it comes to gambling. Well done.
