Thanks Sandra, so comforting knowing that we are standing together, proud of myself today as partner went out for a while earlier and normally I would be straight on the computer gambling but instead I did the ironing and kept telling myself I can beat this!

Oh Sandra, I am so sorry have let you all down, been thinking all day about closing my slot accounts down, had a balance of £13 left on one (which was amazing that I hadn't gambled that at the time), came home decided that I would just use that and then close my account oh no stupid me did 3 separate deposits amounting to £85 and lo and behold lost it!! But did get so angry I did close my account permanently, feels like I have lost my right arm but also relieved I have closed it, one more account to go which I am excluded from for 6 weeks, don't feel tempted to open any more accounts, I am so sorry for being such an idiot and it was only day 2 of the challenge, got to pick myself up and dust myself down but am seriously worried about my financial situation which I have only made worse!!! Been writing my diary in my head at work today it's going to be lengthy so hopefully I can get that started on here tomorrow!! Once again sorry everyone, am feeling very edgy now but hopefully that will settle down 🙁

Hi Liaison,

Sorry i only now logged on and seen your painful post. Blocks has to be put in place and no other way round it. Self exclusion and will is not enough. Addiction is alive and kicking in you, it is waiting for every opportunity to pounce...it's a long journey and only you can make it possible. Stand back up dust yourself down and try again. Put physical blocks down and admit the most important thing - you cannot win cause you can't stop. You are an addict, but an addict in recovery...and difference is huge..choose life, choose recovery and freedom. I believe in you, please do so yourself.

You can make a change

Sandra x

Hi all,

Just bumping the thread up ready for tomorrow's check ins!
Reading on diaries during the week i realised that this is not a smooth sailing an we already had few soldiers of the challenge slipping....to be honest you should see my spread sheet lol..i had all 13 weeks neatly ready to be ticked off..i believed we all will march through these 90 days.
We all know we are in driving seat of this journey individually, but we are all here to support each other on good and bad also...i cannot save you from slips...f**k..i wish i could, but I'm here to support you..listen to you, offer that shoulder to cry on and advice if i can.
Please keep posting if you're struggling..this might be just 90 days to see how it goes but also this might just be the start of new found life...don't take this challenge for granted.
3 months is significant time to get your head together and start thinking differently...i just want you all to see how important this is for each and every one of us...i need you here as much as you need this challenge...find that strength in you to say NO, that's all I'm asking...90 days to change your lives and it comes completely free...and gifts so much more than anyone can imagine.

Right...just rambling. Please keep checking in tomorrow and the ones who slipped, please let me know if you are ready to commit till the rest of the challenge..doors are always open, ..we are holding each others ropes to get to safety together.

Belief, commitment, strength, honesty, determination - one day at a time all the way!

See you all tomorrow and keep up the good work whether you are...day 1 or 1000...today matters the most.progress not perfection!

Sandra x

Hi GT,

Good to have you back in the base camp and well done on never giving up on recovery! I have put your new start date in brackets, this makes it easier for me to keep on top of journies.
Once again, very well done on tryin and believing in yourself!

Dear all,

First week of the challenge compleate and well done to all of you! ☺ I dumped the idea of giving "*" out..this just not fair on some users who unfortunately fall off the wagon while in this challenge. We are all in this together, and are equal. I am proud of every single one of you and so should be you individually!
Let's do it soldiers, let's make recovery possible and keep believing in better tomorrow!

Sandra is checking in for second week with 10 days g free!
Am over the moon for all of you reaching this mini milestone! We can do it ☺

Keep the check ins coming

S x

Ps. Allow me to post some significant milestones we have on this thread and some which are to come over next week.
Casey - been some journey for ya huh...but so so pleased to see you have marched through 100 days g free!! Will be close to 200 by the end of the challenge and that is just something amazing ☺ very proud of you!
Same with our Balwaird who will bring 109 days today! Very well done and keep up good work!
No more will reach 60 solid days on Tuesday, way to go and keep up the good work!
Change - a little milestone of double figures tomorrow...but every days does count and you will be in triple figures before you know it 😉 keep up the good work!
ODAAT,known as respectable Juune on here - well my dear friend, a year mark is looming over now and i am truly proud of you cause you are one of the best souls i have met in my life and i want you to see how peaceful life can be without destruction crossing the path..you learned a lot already, lessons are important in our lives as you know yourself, keep up good work and be proud! Little celebration on Sunday is really well deserved!

Keep them milestones coming dear friends, every day we abstain - we get a piece of ourselves back!

Hi Sandra,

Thanks very much for dropping in on my diary. Very spooky actually, as yesterday was my birthday! :0) 46 years young.... Lol

Still keeping away from gambling and enjoying life. Have a bit of a challenge coming up in a few weeks time, as I have to undergo major open heart surgery, which is going to put me out of action for the best part of three months! Bit of a shocker eh!! Have to have a "Maze procedure" (google it!) and a faulty heart valve repair. Should correct my atrial fibrillation that has come back after 3 years.

Have all but finished my garden room/ man cave at the end of the garden, which has been a labour of love for the last few months. My golf balls love it.

Keep strong hun. You can beat this...... Recovery is possible. :0))

Take care

Ade xx
