So it's been a month since I last gambled and I feel really good.
Ive spoke to my local GP and also spoke to 'Let's talk'. I feel a lot better about everything. But this is just the start.
When looking at sports results I've thought if Id of put that on, I'd of won a bet, but I've never thought about going into a bookies or had an urge to go to one. Walked past plenty and never thought about going in. Are these thoughts natural?
This whole thing has affected everyone who I love due to my lying. How have others partners or family been affected and how did you regain their trust of said people?
Am I right to do a forum every month or should I do it every week.
Sorry for all the questions but I really don't want to fail!
Thank you everyone and I really hope you all are doing good. I'm always happy to listen and talk if anyone needs a chat.
Hi Nathan,
Congratulations, that is a very good achievement!
Everyone has to find what is right for them, their own pace in recovery. You can always get involved more when you feel that it would help you.
Regaining trust mainly takes time and for everyone to work on it. Think about which little step you can do every day to regain the trust of your loved ones.
If you like to gain some additional supportm you can always contact the Helpline on 0808 80 20 133 or the Netline on https://www.gamcare.org.uk/frontline-services/netline
Both services are open from 8 am to midnight every day!
Keep going and keep checking in!
Kind wishes
Gabriele
