My son is doing well ... keep checking the bank account and all OK !

He is doing well and will have his first one to one counselling next week

All is good thank you - 30 days gamble free yesterday for him 🙂

He's working long hours at the moment and I think that is helping him stay focused.

Had a long chat to him last night and he said he knows he has to stay gamble free this time otherwise he will lose me and his girlfriend

Day 35 for my son - 1st one to one counselling today for him, he was so nervous ... but came back extremely positive, it's a shame that his counsellor is on holiday next wekk but she has given him some tasks to tink about.

Taking each day one at a time - positevely moving forward xx

Charlotte all is good thank you - a little tired today, stayed up too late last night !! too old for that !!

My son is doing well - day 39 🙂

I did have to question him about money as he had cash from tips from work. He reassured me all was ok, he did this without getting cross or shouting - I feel this is a huge step in the right direction, something that counselling has encouraged. They told him he must not get cross when I ask as he needs to rebuild the trust we have lost over the years. He has given me all his cash, he still brings receipts home and I still have access to all his finances. So the road to recovery is starting and I am there for this long journey - some days I find easier than others - all I can do is take one day at a time.

My son realises too that he has too much to lose - he lovely new girlfriend (2 months now), his new apartment he is saving for and of course me (lol)

so pleased to read your son is still gamble free and you are starting to also see the benefits it brings.

for me the honesty that comes hand in hand with abstinence is one of the biggest things to be enjoyed.

Thanks Duncs for taking the time to post here, it means a lot to me. I have just been reading your diary, it gives me such hope for a gamble free life for mys son, thank you.

My son is enjoying life gamble free, he is working hard and his promotion is going well at work, I think this is keeping him focused as well.

The first counselling session went well for him and he can already see some issues that have been raised. Unfortunately his counsellor is on holiday this week so I feel a bit of momentum may be lost.

He also has a lovely new girlfriend that he adores and therefore now has something else to keep him focused .... and of course there is always his dear old Mum LOL !!!

The honesty is a big issue but over time I know it will return... one day at a time 🙂

Just popping in to say Day 46 for my son ... still taking one day at a time. but he is so positive it make me proud.

He is off to his 2nd Conselling session this week, his counsellor is really nice and he seems very at ease with her, so I take this a a very very positive step.

His bank account is looking good as well 🙂

Congradulations on your sons soberity. Its great that he has such a strong support system, within you.

I will be 49 days gamble free tomorrow. It's not been a easy road, but with all the support you recieve on here it truely helps. I'am very grateful for this site. Well done on your sons soberity.
