Morning diary.

33 weeks today no bet.

Well the break could not have started better the fella who recorded joe has been recording poetry for 30 years and offered him this feedback " most poets use the style of work of another, with joe he can't find a similar and to end he said to joe you will one day be englands laureate"

Enough said.

Duncs striding forward never back.

P.s the butcher gave a full refund and a whole sirloin for comp.oh and I took my foot out his backside lol.

Duncs,

Sounds like a another very proud moment, would you have got it 33 weeks ago? Something tells me it might have passed you by. Strange how our kids have the ability to amaze us at every turn, I still worry every day that they will be ok and turn out right/normal, achieve life goals etc. Must be very libarating to see your wee ones( not that they will be wee now) walk through life taking it all in their stride.

Dotty had to chuckle at that!!

Stay strong

Steve

Morning diary.

great time had at the steam fair, amazing how a near wash out just made our resolve to enjoy ourselves stronger and a good time had by all, today feeling a bit battered from to much cider and ale and tent life but really headstrong, my stability is getting better by the day, not feeling I am sat on a see-saw waiting for a big weight to come down the other side and that is a great feeling.

Sarahis back to work monday and this for the first time she got to relax and actually enjoy her well earnt break and be able to enjoy a treat or two along the way, our see-saw has two seats side by side!!!!!

The view looking forward is a good one, less *** to climb and a few nice things this journey will bring.

So for today just for today I will not bet.

in doing so shall continue to embrace and enjoy recovery.

Thanks for all the fantastic posts of support they help so much.

Afternoon diary.

Well the fog has cleared LOL!!

Popped to work for a bit to check all aok, came away with some adjustments to make for the autumn menu, all done and typed and emailed to the boss man.

Was going to pop and catch Pompey play, but decided as I bought a new push bike on the way to work today(single speed racin bike) that I will pick up monday( using the money I did not use at the GDSF) I would come to the library instead and catch up with the world of gamcare.

What a choice!!!

all seems well apart from the heavy influx of newcomers which is always sad to see, many many others seem to have a good hold over there addictions and are striding on, and to boot today to read dotty's thread that things are turning full circle really does warm the insides of this fellas big heart.Well done one and all keep just for today making a choice the one that betters you and yours!!!

Tonight I will take my beautiful /sarah out for some supper, before tomorrow work taking the driving seat once more to furnish this life I enjoy more with each step FORWARD I take!!!

Duncs compulsive gambler NO BET TODAY.

hiya Duncs...

Thank you for the shout out and the power of 3 working (my mum was right...if you give with an open heart you get back threefold..lol)....home ,job ,car...all come good.

Well...have a lovely supper with your good lady and hopefully a few glasses of wine to wash all the scrumminess down...

Can you believe I was a veggie for 25 years...started on sirloin last year..docs orders....'How would you like your steak madam?".....BLUE!!

Even my carnivorous pals aghast at how rare I have my steak with a side of french mustard...lol

It's me Viking Warrior Bloodline...tee hee...

Glad you had a great time at the Steamer...and as always....always forward never back...

Any new people on the site are coming in at a fabulous time as look at how much recovery is going on here....giving the good stuff and navigating the stormy waters,...

Its all good.

Pretty philosophical today..(as out of the poo..ask me on a bad day and hell hath no fury....lol)....maybe HP just reshuffling the plates and now set me on a new path.

Eat Drink and Be Married,....

R and D xxx

Yo ,

Was thinking bout you this morning , creepy .

There is a definite chill in the air , summer is on its way out . And was thinking about an open fire , in a nice restaurant in the country side ,

From where I stand today , you definitely made the right choice on the work front all those months ago .

Not only because of the log fire , but the how the job has allowed you to grow both professionally and personally . Funny how fate can have hand in things I think today

Anyways you sound in your usual high spirts , break obviously did you good .

So seems a good time to roll out one of our oil favourites ........

Keep on keepin on .

Shiny xxxxxxxxx
