afternoon diary.
Well just spent the afternoon putting together the autumn menu a time of year I love, the food suits my style of cooking more robust dishes and move over peashoots bring on the roots and hrs in a slow oven!!!
Today also I would have without doubt before been sat next to the radio or tv wishing todays accumulator to come in, why?? for tomorrows stake at best, at worst to try and cover up yet more damage caused by the cycle of life for a compulsive gambler at it!!
Today I will watch match of the day later, enjoy it for the sport it is, probally laugh at it were before I would blame all else except me!!
No more if only, no more angst about todays results or any other days.
the serenity this brings outways any stake I ever won and for today just for today the only steak I will worry about is the fillet steak for the new menu with its foraged mushrooms and home smoked mussels!!!!!!

Evening diary.
Just waiting for a bus with my eldest, to see an old man weathered by life going through the bins to find food, heckled by some youths, they would have more respect for a fox, me I did not gamble today so I gave him money for whatever will get him by, so did joe, walking back to the bus stop a youth said how much did you give him , my reply "I would have give the fella my wallet if I thought it would make a difference, that could have been me " I am not here to judge, I wish the old fella peace, nothing more.
Duncs stepping forward humbled never back.
My son he said if he could give one thing to life it would be to end homelessness.

hey Dunc....
Hope you are out and about now and enjoying the steamers..minus birthday wuff 4 legs....tipping it down here off and on so Hovis best with Sarah...
Glad to give you a chuckle about my new living status...it is pretty funny ...and I do play up to the character..
My mum passed away prior to days of "Hyacinth" but she would have been called Hyacinth today (but she looked and acted like Noel Gordon from Crossroads
....when I was a kid she would be so embarrassed that my brother hadn't mown his front garden and it was about 6 foot high with weeds that she would drive past his house and walk back so no one would see her car outside...!!
As her daughter..I think I may have absorbed some Margot and Hyacinth type traits...but I definately did break the mould...and I do have a laugh at myself..
what more can I say Dunc except to echo your previous postee......RESPECT!
R and D xxx
Hi Dunc,

Bookies trying to fund the fair ended up going on a shoe string, bill money done!!! Today I went to the shop on route to my train, scratchcards no thanx, liquid refreshments yes please lol.
The next few days I plan on enjoying the fair for all it has only thing missing apart from my hovis (one today!!!!) Is my sarah but the steam fair, boys toys, cider no ice no fizz and the camping really!!! No chance lol, but this was a .goal I set and made, next a break just us and all the pampering she can get !!!!!!!
