So Day 1,

Today has been a difficult day the plan was to go self exclude from all bookies in my town however I didnt venture out the house i self excluded from all my online accounts and worked out how much money I owe from my gambling and the outlook is brighter then i thought but I no longer have my head buried in the sand no more unopened letters its time to get straight im not going to lie the temptation to deposit before i self excluded was there especially as it took a while to find the live chat button on some of them, however i resisted and even when a friend popped round to pay me money he owed me i didnt actually feel the urge to pop round the corner to my local bookies and play the machines, however working tomorrow so should self exclude then.

I know this isnt going to be easy even watching the world cup with all the gambling adverts making it look easy to win lol.

Hi Adam - well done on self-excluding and for resolving to do so at the bookies tomorrow.

You sound very positive and that's good.

Try to visit the site as much as possible for support and encouragement - remember we have all been there and are united in our struggle to rid ourselves of this destructive habit.

Best wishes for your journey.

Joanna
