I was reading things like this through for a variety of personal reasons, and I have to say, even if this isn't the right way to go about it, if you have a son, and a "wonderful" partner, it should be very straightforward and easy to give up.

My "partner" asked me to give up for 4 months, and I did in the blink of an eye, and it was very simple, I just valued her above gambling, and if you can't do the same, I think you have many issues with your life and humanity.

However, the alone feeling is not true, there are many, many people on here, going through at least as bad, or gone through, situations, and some have proven they have given up, others are trying, but most come here for the support of others, so you do not need to feel alone in your mission to give up gambling if you cannot control yourself.

Netherless, good luck giving up, just concentrate on the important things in life, and if you're a student, with a child, then gambling, is not one of them.

Day 7 gamble free :). Last night I felt awful but I resisted and I think having a drink at a party just made me feel a bit rubbish as I was tired and down anyway but another day goes by and I'm gamble free.

Day 8 gamble free!! Feeling good today so good I'm thinking of persuading my partner to get me another cat. 3 not to many right? Although the two kittens I have at the moment are fighting like no ones business so not sure if another would be appropriate :(. Going to be so busy and stressed next couple of weeks with exam, placement, dissertation and portfolio. But I'm gonna keep coming on here so I can stay away from those slots 🙂 even if no one reads these post it makes me feel a bit better. Day 8!

Thank you castle for your kind words. I am proud of myself I just want to continue this path and make myself really proud. As no one at hone knows I'm going through this it's nice on here to express myself and see that I'm not alone.

Ha my cats are as mellow as anything, well apart from feeding time and you will find them trying to claw my legs to pieces. I would like another one but think the mess maybe to much, and plus them two wake us up as it is and is driving me crackers at the mo. bless them ;-/.
