Hey Martin , the trouble with when we have a few beers , we start reminicing and looking back , nothing wrong with that but we still have to learn to deal with a few feelings from time to time , look how far we've come mate we are allowed a bit of down time at some point , your doing fine fella , one day at a time remember ?.

Have a good recovery day mate and I'll catch you soon !

Respect .........................Alan

Day 198

Already been asked 3 times if I'm doing the national sweepstake again. Politely said no not this year can't be bothered. I'm sure someone will do it later and come by and ask me if j want a go there's normally about 3 or 4 being run in our office.

Reminds my of doing the World Cup on a few years ago and obviously "borrowing" the money to have a bet before I had to put it back to pay out the winners what a sad state of mind o was in to do that.

Not anymore those days have gone.

Normally be in the pub all day tomorrow betting on the National but will find other things to do this year.

I loved your post and amazing I like honesty, sharing it not only gives hope but somehow eases the pain, my last bet was 30/10/15 like u my money has been taken over (thank god) I go to meetings & the difference from the 1st meeting is unsayable no words by sharing my pain, my fear, my anxiety, my gratitude & faith a day at a time sometimes an hour/minute/second at a time I haven't gambled, I am getting used to not having that bubble it's still hard as I don't like reality or responsibility & went to great lengths to avoid it (honestly I'm still not a lover of it) but today I accept it!!! Thanks for your powerful share xxx

I have only been on this site for 1 day but have spent hours and hours reading over people's journeys. It's such an inspiration to read how bad things were for you and how far you have come. You should be so proud. Last time I stopped I only made it to 90 days. I really hope I can do as well as you have

Hiya Martin me old mate , hope your well and all's good in life ? Just stopping off to wish you well for your double century tommorow , a journey of wonderfull achievement my friend and one that I've been lucky enough to witness from the very begining , your support on here is second to none and your a major asset to the forum and to your assosiation with GA . ( just thought I'd return the smoke blowing ) but you really deserve it !

A bit early I know but I'm not gonna be around much tommorow as off to view a dogsitter were thinking of booking for the hairy hound's when we go off to Italy for my daughters wedding in the summer .

Enjoy your day Martin and keep on keeping the faith !

Regards and deepest respect !

Al

Hey Martin,

Look at you, knocking on 200's door - high five! Keeping the faith to the next level, superb! Thanks for the flyby earlier, seeing it in writing is gut wrenching, what I could have done with 40k. Oh well, what's gone is gone and it ain't coming back!

Twinks xx
