Hi Pete

Just stay focused on yourself with your recovery. One day at a time works for me. I only have today to enjoy and look no further. I do make plans but keep everything within the day (today). Keep posting and reading and remember post for yourself, you may not agree with everything on here but it is ultimately about you!

Take care

Hi Pete,

Well done for starting a diary. You will get a lot of support and understanding here. Log on good days and bad days, take it day at a time and b proud for standing up and fighting the good fight.

You can do it

All the best

Sandra

Hi Pete

Just stay focused and the days will mount up. Try to do something productive in your day. Not something big but something that will give you a sense of achievement albeit big or small

Take care

Hi all, onto day two, weekdays were never too bad for me,but i was dabbling in the online slots, now all closed. The weekends are my danger zone. IM feeling like a spare part at home at the moment, the sprogs are growing up,17 and 20 and no longer need their dad so much, both now drive so no longer need lifts everyday, this in turn leaves me with more time on my hands. I joined a gym about 6 months ago to try and lose some weight and get fitter (-2 stone so far) I go about 3-4 times a week, may have to increase that to include Sat and Sun now ! Battle on ! Pete.

I came through the weekend ok,think its about 8/9 days now. I know its not long but i am amazed at the difference in myself, after years of constant gambling, its hard to explain. I hope in not coming across as too laid back, just happy ! Pete.
