Hi
So after a few months of trying to convince myself that I am not addicted to gambling, I have finally come to the realisation that I have become a compulsive gambler.
It all started around a year ago after my brother convinced me to play the slots online. After a few spins I won a bit of money and then from that point I was hooked.
Since then I've gone from playing casually to playing almost everyday, sometimes for hours at a time. I keep saying to myself, ok this is the last time but within a day I'm back on the slots, normally incurring further losses as i chase those big wins.
I earn a decent salary but am now finding i have less and less money each month, especially as my CC payments have almost tripled!
Anyway, after winning £2000 last weekend, and then subsequently losing all of this and more I've decided enough is enough. Before I would have walked away very happy, but now no win seems good enough, and i just keep playing until it's gone!
I've taken some initial steps such as cutting up cards, self excluded all accounts and am waiting on some blocking software to be installed. Yesterday was day 1 and so far I've managed to resist and it feels great. If I can get through this weekend then I'll know there's still hope that I can beat this addiction before it's too late!

Hi no more.
Sounds like you have taken the first good steps and put as many barriers in place, to bring your gambling to an abrupt holt. Hopefully, the further blocking software on your devices will stop this altogether if you gamble online only. This did the trick for me and helped me remain g.f for 2 years and 6 months until I got another device and did not put the block on. The rest is history.
Best of luck and stay strong.
