129 days of sanity. I find that not only am I becoming more and more distanced from any thoughts of gambling but also I am not visiting the site so often. I take this as a good sign that the whole gambling thing has shrivelled up into a nasty little blob I can throw away, but I think I'll continue to regard myself as still being on a tether to these forums - just that the rope is getting longer and longer.....

Day 138 - have been so busy lately haven't even been thinking about this site, let alone gambling!

A nice birthday weekend coming up and money in the bank. Thank you GamCare and all my friends on here who have helped me get to this happy state.

Many thanks Suzanne, and hope you are doing well too. Yes, thank you I had a fabulous birthday weekend and was able to take out all my family to a lovely restaurant meal - could never have afforded that during my mad, bad old gambling days!

Day 141 of sanity. :o)

Hi Joanna

Hope you had a great birthday. 141 days, well done. I have been busy so not been on the site very much although I did find time to watch all 3 LOTR films over the weekend. Normally I would be on gambling sites at the same time but no more.

So glad for you that you can afford to treat the family now. I am looking forward to that day coming for me. Each day it's gets closer.

Was going to update my diary today but bed is calling now.

Take care.

Thank you Suzanne; thank you Wolfgang.

Day 154 for me - amazing how the days have mounted up. Life so full now that I am really forgetting all about gambling.

Wolfgang - I do hope that things are getting more bearable for Lou and the tough time she (and you) are going through.

Hi Joanna.

Congratulations on your continued progress, and I am glad that you are seeing the bounty and pleasure that comes with not gambling, and being able to focus on what happens in real life.

Keep your defences up, and the joy of not gambling will be with you for a long time to come.

All the best

Ryan

Steve, Ryan - many thanks for your encouraging words and best wishes to you both for your continuing wellbeing, free from the dreaded 'g' word.

Day 159 for me today. With each day that passes I feel the link to gambling is getting weaker and weaker. That 'life music' Mr B told us about really is drowning out the 'gambling music!! 😮 )

Hi Joanna

So glad you are continuing on your journey. 47 days for me and feeling great about it. I am still busy with my sister's wedding preparations but the stag and hen night have been and gone and the wedding is next Friday so then I will have more time to update my diary and catch up on other posts. I am reading New Zealand with a Hobbit Botherer by John Gisby at the moment. Very good book, wish I could go to NZ and see the sights where they filmed LOTR. Maybe one day.

Keep up the good work Joanna.
