Been AWOL again but this time just been busy with life. Still not gambling - but have signed up to Gamstop just in case I have a relapse. My debt with StepChange will be paid off in 3 months! I had a huge five figure amount of debt; luckily I have a fairly well paid job which allowed me to pay over 3 years.

Due to my debt I am unable to get credit for 7 years, so no sneaking around with the old credit cards. Things are great at home as I can talk freely about my addiction to my husband, which I feel keeps me grounded.

When I joined this forum I was desperate, like most others here. But following the guidance of keeping the barriers high, talking about my problem and being supported by members of the forum has helped me change my life for the better.

For those of you who read this and are struggling with the demon of addiction, please remember it can get better. Be honest with yourself and your nearest and dearest. Get support, put your barriers up and take one day at a time - you will get there x
