Day 7 no gambling. Just watching football today no real thoughts of gambling. Been a while since I have gone a week without a bet

Akthough some days will feel harder than others (much harder), every day you don't gamble you'll be stronger for it. The more strength you have, the more equipped you are to fight the hardship when it comes ?

Day 9 at work no gambling. I wonder how much the £2 has cost the betting shops. When I was speaking to the manager a couple of weeks ago taken on them were down 50%. Just need to keep telling myself not worth playing on them at £2 a spin

Sounds like you're getting to the point where its no longer about the money anymore, what's killing you is your compulsion to keep going back to play these things when you don't even want to anymore... You're probably not even enjoying the machine anymore (especially with the £2 stake) but it has such a grip on you that you keep finding yourself there?

Sounds like you've identified that gambling is robbing you of much more now than just money - time, self-esteem, autonomy, free will, goals, aspirations etc.

Maybe this is a breakthrough you know... Maybe it will eventually click how much of your life is being given over to the machine, not just the money now.

You've not been online or anything have you?

Take care bud ✌️
