Good to hear Stephen. Stick to the meetings, they do help massively!
It's very kind of your friend to look after your card but we both know it's not the solution long term. It starts with you! I remember my tablet travelled around the UK...it passed 3 sets of hands before going back to me as very kind frineds of mine looked after it for me. Did I gamble on it since I got it back? Yes. ....it is battered after numerous flying lessons (but still alive)....& to be honest I still don't have blocker on it. Man...why I do half measures with recovery?
Anyway, moral of the story - it's not a long term solution. It's US what needs fixing but I agree that for a time being it's one of the best things you can do to help yourself going forward.
Have a great weekend and enjoy the company of your friend later on.
Xx
Hi Stephen, Good to see you trying something different this time with your GA and giving your friend your bank card ,shows that dispite your previous setbacks you have the courage and desire to bounce back.Well done on reacing double figures, by taking it one day at a time you can rack up those gamble free days like you have done in the past .... have a good weekend mate with you all the way.
Hi Stephen. Thanks so much for posting on my diary, your words meant a lot. You are being so positive in the choices you are making and you should feel so proud of yourself. Keep going and take care. X

stay strong and positive x
Thank you for the kind words on my diary. I really appreciate the support, wisdom and solidarity which is shared by all of us.
I believe the two changes I've introduced will have a positive influence on my recovery. Attending GA friday nights is beneficial and my friend helping me manage my finances is a great help. Many friends are up ahead in the distance and feeling the benefits of a gamble free life. Now it's my turn and I aim to follow their excellent example.
Wishing everyone renewed confidence and courage during the coming week...stephen
Well done you for your two steps and we all have to change our ways to succeed

Today I am 14 days away from my last bet. Well settled on the recovery road and intend staying on it.
Our good friend Sharon will be 1 year gamble free on friday and I aim to follow her wonderful example.
A good friend is helping to manage my finances for a year, I am attending GA and visit the diaries daily. I feel reasonably confident I can make a success of it this time.
Wishing everyone well...stephen

Thank you for the post on my diary Hazard. I appreciate the support.
Good day today. Went to my English class which I enjoyed. ( Strange because I never liked English at school but nobody whacks me on the head with a ruler in this class).
Went to the gym tonight. Swam for a while and relaxed in the steam room.
All is good. 15 days since I last gambled and everything running smoothly....stephen
Well done Stephen. Great news that you are still going strong!
Well done Stephen, have a good weekend mate.
Keep it going Stephen, a lot of people already have an emotional investment in you, including me . You can nail this
