Good to hear from you Brad even though it's due to me messing up big time again. Hope your well.

Rst18, thanks for your words. I usually do keep spreadsheets and am good at moving money around. It's just a shame that it's due to me gambling big time.

I'm so fed up with this cycle I'm in. I go a few days and feel good and then always mess up. I think a few quid won't hurt even though it does. Can't believe I keep doing it. I daydream about paying of my final bit of gambling debt and how great it will be, then I realise I'm 4/5 years away and what that money could of gone on.....

Yes so true, but what's done is done. Carry on any more and that 4/5 years of having to be 'tight' could turn into a life ruining amount of years. I use the word 'tight' loosely as I have still been able to have the odd treat and have budgeted for a summer holiday so its not all doom and gloom but just be realistic and accept that gambling is not a way out. Well done on accepting you cant go on like this. You will only lose if you carry on, look back at your previous entries.

Only problem with looking back at my entries is how much my debt has gone up. I have just realised, since January 14th I have lost 3k.... Just sums up how I feel, pathetic

Hi Dean

I know Duncs has said it to you before, but you've got to stop thinking about the debt. That isn't your number one priority mate. 100% focus has to be on recovery. Easily said than done perhaps, but if your dreaming about the debt going that will only lead you to gamble. Clearing the debt with a lucky streak will not happen.

£3000 in one month. I'm not jugding you Dean. Your good with money aside gambling. If you repay £500 a month as stated in your earlier posts thats another six months to add to the 4 years.

How will you feel in three months time if the debt stands at £30,000? Gambling £18,000 in just over a year. Don't let this disease beat you mate. There is a wealth of support on this forum. Everyones behind you.

Best wishes

Brad

Well I am on Day 4 of no roulette. Nothing amazing really as I have been here many times beofre and a few days later blown away money I don't have!

The plus side is I have barred myself from 6 of my major / usual stomping grounds and that has felt great doing that.

Still struggling to deal with the debt. It has now turned into guilt as my partner keeps going on saying 'I wish we had money to do this and that to the house'. If I didn't s**nk so much away in those machines, then It wouldn't be an issue.

Hi Dean how are you getting on? I've found myself addicted to this website and has given me something to do when bored. Anything is better than wasting my money and adding to debt. 1 day at a time but life without gambling is a hundred times better once you realise that the debt isn't just going to go away in one day. 51 days since throwing hundreds at stuid online bets.
