I think some things need to change I'm not as experienced as some and can see their frustration. It's still an ongoing discussion as some key(if that's the right word) members where not there tonight so we still need there input. So things may change

Hi Martin,

One of my concerns is being geographically isolated if there is a breakaway - our group is pretty big anyway and that would only grow if we are the only affiliated group on the GA website.

Shame that technically we'll lose our status at the end of next month despite doing nothing wrong.

I have only heard NCs versions of Events,so perhaps I'm wrong. My understanding is that no one will be excluded if they accept things have to be cleared by NC & the guidance code is followed

Gary if you are so unclear on events get in touch with GA UK. Email the Information officer or the National Secretary.

Day 665...gamble free and no urges.

Another clean sweep at GA tonight...24 members showing great unity and support to each other.

Really disappointed at some of the recent developments but refusing to let it affect my recovery.

On the bright side...will be on a plane to sunnier climes this time next week. Can't wait

Day 669 today....trying to stay in the moment but looking forward to our holiday of a lifetime on Thursday. Have booked us for afternoon tea at the Burj today and great to have the money saved to do so.

Really can't wait for some winter sun.

Winter sun the continuation of recovery and a recharge to boot!

Back from a superb break and into a hectic week in work. No gambling urges and in a superb place...massive peace of mind and very secure.

Still conscious of gambling being everpresent....just need to continue to work on my recovery and stay in my safe lane

Good to have you back around sounds like you enjoyed the holiday show what a gamble free life can gets us.

690 days GF free today but more importantly, 2 years today since my mum lost her battle with cancer which was a catalyst for me to seek help for my problems at GA. What followed what a 6 week descent into insanity and a gambling binge before facing up to everything and everyone.

She's, without doubt, my guiding star, guardian angel and higher power.

After all the lies, deceit, and upset - would give anything to sit down with her one last time and talk her through where I am now. Sadly, not to be, but hope she's looking down proudly at the changes I've made and the life I am now living.

No win is worth the inevitable pain that would happen should I begin to bet again.

That a great higher power to have Gary. The fact your nearly 700 days on and still only one bet away for it all going t**s up again. Let me know when you have a date for the open meeting and I'll try and get over.

Pretty sure it's going to be the 17th March now..we've also voted to remain within Nothern GA which is great from my perspective. Glad to be back in the room last week and to see so many friends continuing to do so well.
