"We learn something from everyone who passes through our lives.. Some lessons are painful, some are painless.. but, all are priceless.”

“Life is short, live it. Love is rare, grab it. Anger is bad, dump it. Fear is awful, face it. Memories are sweet, cherish it.” -

“Life is like photography. You need the negatives to develop.”

“Build your own dreams, or someone else will hire you to build theirs.”

“Life has two rules: #1 Never quit #2 Always remember rule # 1

Loving the quotes, it's surprising how a random quote, saying or song can make us feel and help strengthen some of our beliefs. Great to have you on the thread yet again, your enthusiasm on the last one was great and a big help to us all. Lets be honest you pretty much done the last thread and the way you bounced back you should be even more proud of yourself. But no need to mention that again. You are doing bloody brilliant and I don't want to wish my time away but I can't wait to be typing congrats Sandra on completing the thread, you have been awesome the last three months and it was a pleasure travelling on this journey with you.

Take care Sandra.

Thank you all so much 😉 xxxx your comments are most appreciated

Dear diary,

2 weeks without a blip, or shall i say 5 months and £2 out in a drain in that time lol

Doing OK, do get urges now and again, but it's mainly because i'm bored. few things happening around me, and getting my attention and motivation for changes. Which is very good in my case, little steps out of my shell and start facing the world:-)

Work tonight, and a little bit stressed out already, but hey...just go and do my best.

Cold outside, but composing myself to go for a run and search net for few vacancies later. Never give up giving up!

Take care all

Day at a time and i will kick gambling out of my life just for today 😉

Yeah guess I'm more likely to gamble myself out of boredom and having a few extra unaccountable dollars of course. Lol yeah gets me every time. Guess that time spent gambling just ends up in a need for anger management though cause can't remember the last time I left happy. Lol lol lol

Hope ya have a good gamble free week.

Loved the quotes (like, ex-doormat especially the photography one) and also the song. We're all trying to move back to the middle. You said you're a goat... meaning a Capricorn?? You seem to have traits of a Capricorn (I'm one). You're doing great, girl. Have a nice evening!

Hey Sandra,

Just catching up on your diary. Sorry to hear about your blip - as you said it wasn't major but at the same time I know how you feel. The positive you can take out of it is that you stopped and put blocks in place. That takes real strength.

Hope you enjoyed your run, take care xxx

Thanx Pinksparkle and yes, my blip did affect my recovery but in a good way...crawling my way out:)

Dear diary,

Not sure what to put in my diary today. A lot of suggestions going around to speak about gambling more. Yes, fair enough, it is recovery journey from gambling...but diaries are here to put your daily feels, moods, even a little cheeky chats..Nothing wrong with what, many souls on here finding it easier to move forward with little generous chat sometimes. No fail there. Whatever helps - what's my motto:)

Don't feel exactly myself last couple of days. Stress taking over but i'm more than determined not to turn for an easy way out. No gambling, but no major change in Life either. Stress working through my body with not eating and sleeping....again...But hey, as my tread topic says - Fighting a good fight here:) Sure it will pass..

Spoke to work colleague last night...about roulette..well, he spoke about it and i found myself a bit uncomfortable at that moment. was just nodding to whatever he said...but not listening really lol...just went out through the other ear. Was never interested in this sort of gambling, no good with numbers or tactics.

Dawned on me yesterday, that one tiny wire of my brain realized i had a gambling problem last April, and i did tell one guy about my worries...but neither he or me took it serious at that time...It was sort of Sandraaaaa...response from him. And i kept spinning my life away with everything dear i had.. Now i find out...he is in a deep s**t with gambling...Roulette... i will let him know that i'm here if he needs to talk..we didn't communicate for a year...strange how you can forget your friends while gambling..

On a lighter note, still fighting my way through in this Life..Just for today...just breath...just believe...

Will not give up..

http://youtu.be/JxVYBD1qi2E

Rudimental - Not giving in

Have a good day all

Strength and believe to you all

Day at a time

No gambling - Zero tolerance

Sandra x

Sandra,

Forget that gym membership and get out running in the rain. Get yoursel a lovely new pom pom hat to keep that hair dry and ears warm. The gym is too boring for us runners although I do go to a boxing class, which will change your life. Nothing better to beat stress than punching a bag as hard as you can until exhaustion. If you can find one go for it it will change your life.

Keep abstaining.

Tomso.

I get the talking about gambling in work a lot from friends but none of them know the extent of how deep I have been into gambling they kinda see me as the guy to go to with a question about odds or my thoughts on this and that to do with gambling(starting to hate that word). I think only a compulsive or addicted gambler knows the depth of how it can take your rationality to thinking but people who don't suffer from the problem do not understand, at all.

I would be embarrassed to tell people other than family about what I am or what I have lost. Judgement would be made straight away. Wouldn't want to be known as the guy who blew x amount of pounds.

Find a happy place Sandra only fellow addicts know the real limit to how bad this dirty business can take us
