Well done on the 6 months nothin makes me more happier than to see people like ur good self goin strong , u av a really good balance in life now and it's there for us all to see ,what I really do like though is the effort ur putting in to help others in their recoveries iv seen some really good advice and support and not just a few words , it's people like urself that makes this site work and make it the wonderful place it is

Wow how quick do the weekends go, had a nice weekend, quite a relaxed one, stroll round a car boot sale yesterday followed by a nice doggie walk then sunday dinner for all made by my eldest daughter.
I cant tell you how things have changed between me and my eldest, even my BF yesterday said o*g has the old person been kidnapped, she made us all a sunday dinner yesterday, she filled my car up after using it on saturday, her room is tidy, she has money in the bank and we are just getting on so so well.
Just shows you how gambling can distort your perception of things, I thought i had a nitemare daughter when actually i was that engrossed in my own little selfish gambling world i had no time or energy to put anything into my relationship with my daughter yet I and expecting everything back.
I look back on me 6 months ago and realise how gambling distored my perception of so many things, no more poor me, no more expecting something for nothing, today and each day I remain gamble free is about taking back my accountability and my responsibility.

Could not help but feel for you in that last post you made. I dont have kids but I can associate what you say with my family and friends etc... What have we been doing? Neglecting everything that is close to us. You should be very, very proud my girl!
That post made me smile and think yeah, this is why I stopped, not just for money (although that does help! lol), but wow you have this in control, awesome as cherry pie!.
Let's keep it on. Keep it strong, no more giving in to ANYTHING!
