Day 39, big day tomorrow, going to the Arndale centre tomorrow with family.

Whilst they are shopping, I am all alone in a place that has 55 bookies and its forecast heavy rain so can't walk and walk for 5 hours like last time.

I will stay strong and come back victorious.

Wow! Negigiated Manchester successfully and had a shock.

As I was walking around for the best part of 5 hours like a numpty (I detest shopping but feel the family shouldn't suffer because of me) I noticed betting shop after betting shop with all four FOBT machines just standing there and nobody playing them at all.

Maybe the penny is dropping for folk! I know my cousin who used to play them has stopped since the summer, citing the fact that all they do now is take, take and take and never pay out. Well, if ***** are lowering their stake to £20 a spin, how long before the rest will follow!

Day 43 and going strong, do I want that sickening gut wrenching feeling after a big loss? NO WAY.

Then it's simple, DONT GAMBLE!

Life without gambling is less stressful and less expensive.

Keep the faith. Don't give up giving up.

Day 52, still strong.

Good news, I have heard that the govt think tank on bookies roulette machines has recommended that the stake on these machine be dropped from £100 a spin to £2.

WOW!

Hi guys

Looks like my nemesis aka the bookies roulette machines could be coming to an end. Was in Birmingham city centre yesterday and walked passed one of my old haunts W Hills, Adriana the manager was outside smoking and upon seeing me says 'hello stranger, coming in for a coffee'. Now keeping in mind I had no cards on me and about £25 I said 'why not'.

Whilst sipping my 'free' coffee I noticed nobody playing the roulette machines, after quizzing her on as to why she replied 'people aren't playing on them as much but what we are all concerned about the the possible lowering of the stake to as little as £2, and I can see a lot of shops shutting'. So, she knew about the potential stake reduction and hopefully they will now be where they belong, IN A CASINO!

Well, I am hoping this is the case and am sure a lot of you out there who have played on these and lost hundreds/thousands like myself are thinking like wise.

Hi guys

Well, for those that didn't catch the headlines this week, the govt is in a consultation period until 23-1-18 regarding FOBT's, plenty of negative publicity this week. Some industry experts are saying that the stake reduction to £2 is looking like the most plausible action.
