Good to hear your still going strong, the couple of little blips didn't set you back which is main thing. To be debt free will be a major achievement after being in the mire just over a year ago.

Thanks for you kind comments Mile End.

I won't lie, I still think about gambling alot. But I also remember the misery it put me through and the short tempered person I became.

Someone made a comment on another diary recently and they said that even if you pay off all you debt, your still a compulsive gambler. And thats so true (all be it recovering). That really sticks at the front of my mind. A reminder and a deterrant to stay on track.

Good luck all.

Brad

This is my last post in my diary. Gamcare and all it's members has helped me so much over the last few years.

I'm still a compulsive gambler, it's just that I don't act on my urges anymore. I haven't had a bet for a good nine months or so, and although I know I'm not cured, I want to try and close that bad chapter in my life now.

I don't feel anything towards gambling. I'm not bitter, i'm not still crying over the money I've wasted. Hopefully the money I've lost will prove to be an investment in my future.

Thanks everyone.

Brad
