@asmbtj5rgl Great stuff. Make your you have a plan for when the horse racing on Saturday to prevent your gambling.
You have identified the issue and the trigger so now use the insight you have to protect yourself 👍🏼Â
Keep coming back here and engaging, well done for making the first step and wanting to stop.

Just for today I will not gamble and enjoy football for what it is.
Day 7 and my hardest day by far coz its saturday.trying to keep occupied as much as possible and doing different things.also recently started reading paul mersons book called hooked.ive had it a couple of years but never found the time to start it coz of gambling.would highly recommend just off what ive read so far.so scary how much i can relate to.anyone else read it?
So 3 weeks without gambling now and feeling so determined to keep it up.i know its small steps but every week that passes feels like a win and a hurdle jumped.not gonna get complacent as i know how quickly this disease can suck u back in.im talking openly about it to my family and wife and this helps enormously.trying to stay focused and keeping busy to take my mind off it.reading books is a great help especially paul mersons 'hooked'.would highly recommend to others
Affected by gambling?
