Hi Carl,

Those january days will tick by im trying really hard not to wish them away, its not the best of months in terms of weather, come down from the celebrations and money, the past few days i am trying to go to bed each night and think about 3 positive things that happeend in the day, No gambling is always in the 3.

Keep going mate your doing brilliant.

day 176

well it being friday and all the snow around we got to knock off early today which is always a good thing, i think its abit of hibernation this weekend as we getting snow bad again on sunday apparently, when i started this journey i would of hated to be couped up indoors as it would of meant me getting bored and then ultimately going online to gamble but with the blocks in place i cant and quite frankly have no interest in wanting to either

have good weekend all

Hi Carl

Well done one those gamble free days! Like you, I'm wondering how I ever found the time to gamble- so much else to be doing (or just enjoying doing nothing).

Have a great weekend

Irene

Hi Carl

Well done on those gamble free days- keep up the great effort.

I'm mega impressed at your committment to your training- finding it hard to get motivated to shift myself off the sofa 🙂

Have a good week

well i been a little distant from the site for bit

but thats exactly what i needed because i am back fully recharged and ready to fight on some more, january is a tough month for us all but slowly we are getting through it then the pressures will hopefully ease

the start of another working week and at the end of it i will have been gamble free for 6 months, if people had said to me on my first few days see you in 6 months i would laughed but with grit and determination i am still here still going, i wont lie at times it has been testing but i have learnt a lot about myself in these last few months and also realised nothing will happen in this journey unless im willing to change certain aspects of my life. we are now in to 2013 and i think its gonna be a great one for all of us here

Hiya Buddy,

Very well said!! Yes we have the little bumps along the way and have to take stock of ourselves but ultimately what we are doing is the right thing and a general overview of the last 6 months will show you exactly why you work so hard at your recovery. Well done to you mate and I look forward to seeing that 6 month post later this week.

Hi Carl

Well done on the 6 months its truly amazing what u av achieved its good to see that the self belief and confidence is strong as 6 months ago it was zero , all by making the right choices in life and u did it

Taking a break is important u just simply can't keep at it full on there will be days when there's no aspiration but thats ok its just like life some days are good and we av to accept there will be days not so good , like ur doin just ride them out the aspiration will come back

Whatever ur doin is clearly working for u so keep with it everyone recoveries is different the aim is to live a better life and thats exactly what ur doin

Well done again
