Day 395

Not much to report. Flying along no thoughts of gambling at all - over the last three weeks. Everything going to plan.

It is difficult to give up but not impossible and so worth it.

Cheers, Jim

Day 406

All good - no real thoughts of gambling, my mates had a bet on weekend and lost, asked me for advice picking teams (rugby)from me, the guy who couldn't stop?? They must be joking, but I am so far out of touch I didn't even have an opinion! Don't miss it one little bit, what a pile of s**t gambling was.

Anyway enjoyed the weekend and had a great drink.

Looking forward to 500 days gambling free, the next big target.

Bring it on.

Cheers, Jim

Day 432

Hope everyone on here is still making progress. Hiya to all those who know me.

Not much happening at my end, still plodding along, haven't really thought about gambling for quite some time, picked some rugby teams for my brother during heineken cup and his bet won.... but not tempted to bet myself.... I seem to have lost the urge, much busier trying to improve my life in other ways.

Always onwards and upwards some day I will reach the top and it'll be down hill from there.....

I love my gamble free life.

Keep on going folks.

Cheers, Jim

Day 452

All is good ready for the weekend, need two new tyres which is a pain.... it is too cold out there to mess about. No thoughts of gambling at all and approaching 500 days the next big aim.

Have a great weekend all.

Hello Dazzler,

Your gambling free time is a great acheivement well done.

Stay focussed. I use to be many hundreds of days gambling free as well.. only to then gamble again.

All the best to your continued recovery.. S.A

Day 454

Thanks for your post SA, I know how easy it is to slip back into it, reflecting on previous failed attempts to give up gambling... I think I went back on purpose just to f*** myself up. That sounds stupid I know but I am sure I deliberately hit the self destruct button, just to see how much s**t I could get myself in. Which was a lot!!!

Anyway as determined as ever and will never go back, but the fear of complacency is why I still post at all.

Chin up and keep on keeping on.

Cheers, Jim

Hey, so nice to see that 454 days is possible!

Glad to see that you are still as determined as ever and that you will never, ever go back to those dark, dark days of gambling.

I always remember this whenever I get the urges...

"One tiny, tiny bet away from disaster".

Day 461

How mad is that 461 days, it doesn't seem that long.

Just online doing my xmas shopping and thought I would pop by and update my diary. Not much happening, dug the car out yesterday and made it to the shops.... manic.

Looking forward to Christmas now, it'll be the second gamble free Christmas in as many years. Bring it on.

Cheers, Jim
