Hi Dazzler

Thanks for your posts, I've been gambling for years but I am more determined than ever to beat it for good. I only joined the forum yesterday but reading diaries and posts like yours has really made me feel great. I know I will do it.

Thanks for your continued posts and all the best.

Peace

Not much happening here - looking forward to a weekend of beer, snooker and darts with my mates..... cant wait.

All is good no thoughts of gambling, just keep on plugging away, hope you are all doing ok.

Day 722

Not much ging on here, no gambling been on a stag do recently which would have been a gambling feast in years gone by - but I didnt even think about.... other than a chat with an olde friend who is still in the thick of £1200 a confession to his girlfriend and thrown out.... still difficult to imagine him change but I think he will eventually. Offered the little advice I could but I guess it is down to the individul to take the first few steps.

Anyway holidays at the end of this week and I cannot wait. Yeeha.

Have a good one you'all.

Cheers, Jim

Day 729

Well its been two years since I last gambled, it really has flown by! Feel pretty good today, still not complacent though, I hate gambling just as much as I ever have.

I have managed for over a year now without any blocks in place, I carry cards/cash without a worry; i am not excluded from the local bookies anymore - I moved house in May 2010 and have never been in one in my new town! It is just about keeping my nose clean nowadays, no desire to gamble anymore.

My life is incomparable now, I have no debt a new car a new job some savings. Still renting a house, which will not be the case next year once I have the necessary deposit pulled together.

I have done two fantastic things in my life one was marry my wife and the other was giving up gambling.

I love life and in the worst of my gambling days I never thought I would say that again.

Good luck one and all.

Cheers, Jim

P.s. I hate gambling

Hi dazzler,

There is no way i can let the day go without posting on your great achievement by getting to the 2 year mark, that is really awesome and inspiring for others.

A massive well done as i have read your diary and the way you have turned your life around, not just financialy but also emotionaly is beyond words and gives all on here a great sense of what can be achieved as you have done it and lived it.

I myself am only just over 2 months without a bet and i will never bet again.

Reading diaries like yours gives me such a lift and a vision to work towards.

Thank you and once again well done, you have done brilliantly.

Kindest regards

Steven
