Hi alice thank you for the lovely thought out post its lovely to hear such positive thoughts so i read back this diary and it brought back the thoughts of what i achieved last year and im now ready to work as hard as i can this year to save for retirement, help patients and new users on gamcare..... so thank you...... i work for nuffield so not quite the government but patients are patients and i like the work nuffield do and the people i work with..... i get down sometimes but we all do and i take negativity to heart and in that way i know im too sensative but its something i allways try to work on. xxxxx

Faith mate great to see you hope you pop back on here to chat? hope ur well in france writing away and boxing to keep up youre fitness? with ur advice ive been working out in my bedroom rather than paying for gym.... i really like punches on the spot as exercises too they really make you feel good..... i had some great feedback at work on friday after a chat with the directors pa and it made me feel good again and valued about work.....

Update on the finances, i spent 20 pounds on a gift for a friend, i spent 66 pounds on mys holiday, 7 pounds on coffee, and 13 pounds on pizza today for two friends that came over today to play gaames and watch a film..... so 106vpounds this month, leaving just under 700 saved for the month to go towards my pension fund.... a good start.

Ive had a lovely day today with friends and tomo im going to my folks to see my parents, sister and her family....... will play games and relax..... then back to work monday.

I've cancelled my holiday requests for thru the summer as my manager didnt like when i was requesting....think im just going to see how many months i can work maybe till may ? then organise some time off.... As soon as summers here and i can sit in garden ill take time off.

Started to invite a few friends over for easter for my first bbq should weather be nice? we will see.... this summer should be lovely...

All the best Adam xxx

I'm grafting....Done exercise videos over the weekend, ate porridge for breakfast and lunch, Grafted at work today and done 14500 steps in the five hours...... went to sainsburys on way back and purchased a pepper and mince..... came back and added carrots and a pepper to my bolognese and spread it over trhree portions rather than two..... probably cooked too much spaghetti but its good energy food.... Im all over the healthy eating and exercise at work and at home and it feels good..... Im hoping to loose my belly... lets see if it works for a change.

Today ive had a great productiive day.... woke up midday nice lie in tick, then went to waitrose and found out i can get coffees for free with any purchase tick so i bought a reusable mug and got a coffee..... then saw u can get apples for 30p in there so ill go on the way to work and get a coffee and apple for 30p winning!!!!!

Then phoned my mum to tell her and my dad told me about  rainy day saver that barclays are doing..... u need to be a member of blue rewards (pay at least 800 into current acount each month (salary i earn 1000 tick, u have to have at least two direct debits going out tick.... ) then u can get a rainy day saver with 5 percent interest!!!!!(much better than most savings rate at mo).... so i signed up and put 100 pounds in u can put up to 5k in so ill save up to that then transfer rest elsewhere.....

So this month ive saved super tightly.... ive spent 66 pounds on holiday, 20 pounds on a gift, 7 pounds on coffee and 13 pounds on take away pizzza, then 4 pounds on the reusable mug today .....but thats it..... so ive earnt 1151 pounds outgoings next month will be 200 pounds as not council tax, so 100 pounds on food, so i can technically transfer up to 850 pounds into my new savings account....winning!!!!!

Then i went for a walk with my mum and bought 60 bulbs of various flowers to plant in garden..... will get some shrubs soon too to plant..... all so my garden looks lovely this summer.... plan in action.

Another great productive day.....woke up midday (nice lie in again)....went and got a waitrose coffee and apple for 30p lol big spender.....then came back with them ate the apple on way back....then made porridge great healthy lunch.....then a friend came over and played xbox and watched liverpool game...... then he left and i had a bath then done twenty mins exercise.... then cooked dinner (i eat early as im allways hungry).... fish, mash, carrots and beans..... pretty healthy day to be fair....

Now im going to look at my finances for a bit and relax and maybe do a bit more exercising later..... i looked up the gym opposite today to look at prices but its fair to say its overpriced and i seem to get quite a lot done at home..... just got to focus on health and finances....

For the 48 quid a month im saving not going to gym it pays for a lot of food for the month....plus all i was doing in the gym was treadmill and i do this at work and the exercise im doing at home is actually probably a bit more demanding.... just got to make sure on the eating front that im only eating one takeaway a week as a treat..... a friend invited me out for a curry tonight and i was super tempted but im thinking had a bit of pizza friday and cooked a pizza saturday so curry on sunday is really pushing it.... focus on healthy meals thru the week then cheat days friday, saturday and maybe sunday nights...... but tbf should eat healthy two of those weekend cheat nights too.....

Saved 600 this month into my rainy day saver.... will look to do that each month.... then maybe just five hundred in summer months so i have extra 100 for bbqs and hosting over those months in my flat (get some meat in......

Another couple of days have paased, been working hard on my diet, along with treating some people at work to some pastries.... all went down very well... Of the 1000 earnt this month im hoping to save 750 as im becoming pretty damm good at spending less on living thru my waitrose free coffees, keeping heating in flat to a minimum and doing all my socialising at the flat.....

I have my down moments but all in all and in a very happy part of my life.... content with treating people how i would like to be treated as allways....  will endevour to help out as much as i can at work.

Looks like with the minimum wage going to up 10.42 an hour i will get at leat 40 pounds extra a month that can be saved and will go towards energy bills.  Next year without the gov support itll be an extra 400 pounds on energy so thats all of the increase in wages gone with that.... oh well.

When i have had an awful weekned...... on friday i was bored and thought again about doing the free poker tourney on pokerstars (sunday billion that i used to do..... so i signed up again to facebook as i used to do it thru that..... but the sunday billion wasnt on it anymore...... they now have the free chip game called pokerstars play..... so i installed this got some free chips and off i went..... it took up my whole weekend.... only slept 2 hours last night was up to 6am.... its so addictive.....i started to pay for chips to stay in the game (you cant withdraw money so its not gambling..... but there are slots on this app and i got hooked to them aswell instantly.... started off buying 1.49pence.....then 3.99, then 3.99 then 3.99 then 7.99 was up all night till 6 am sunday moring then up again at 9am to play them .... more deposits.... just wanted to keep with the excitement even tho i was tired...... so i went from zero chips to 249 million then stopped...then lost the lot in two hours this afternoon...... im absolutely knackered now ..... just goes to show i cant play sensibly .... all together ive looked it up and i spent 60 pounds..... gutted..... just got to see it as an expensive days wage as a lesson .... need to rest tonight

Just uninstalled both apps and learnt a lesson..... that luckily has not dented my gambling free day run as it wasnt gambling just spending.....

Any thoughts id like to know?

I think that you are skating on thin ice. Before I left the chat room, you had gone into an arcade to watch your friend gamble, now you are playing with fire by simulating gambling. In my view it's not a good strategy to take.
