Life begins again

Good Sunday morning diary,

293 days of winning today, and yesterday I laughed at this horrendous horrible addiction in the face, it can stay dormant sulking for ever as far as I am concerned, I hate what it does to people and their families,

My resolve to keep abstaining and maintaining one day at a time goes without saying and the choice I make every day and sometimes a few times in one day is a big fat NO, been there read the book inside and out, have many scars, some are still healing and some never will be, even after 293 days, so it shows how deep that addiction cut, to even think one tiny tiny nasty thought would not hurt, would be utter utter madness and I am not mad,(( dippy at times lol,)

So a good Sunday is on the horizon again today, why, simply because it will be a gambling free day and that costs absolutely nothing.

NM doesn't ask much of me (doesnt get much either) & the rugby sure beats him 'saving the world' on the only telly in the house 😉 I've sure had many worse Valentine's nights!

Your OH playing@ flying planes made me laugh. We have a guy @ my meeting has set up his own cockpit up in his lounge @ the cost of 20k to himself! He wears a uniform has the captains hat everything! He then sits there for 8 hrs flying to new york. His wife has to knock on the door to ask the captains permission to enter the cockpit. I thought he was making it up till i saw your post from yesterday

Well done on your 293 days wow nearly at the big 300. I didn't know you could clean ovens lololol!!!!!!!
Well that's how my oven feels. Each day of not gambling I notice things needed to be done and would need a fortnight off to attack them!!

Yes i think the friends & family threads are an important read too. Really important to everyone to see how there addiction impacts on the emotions & not the finances of our loved ones.

Good Monday morning diary,

294 days today, the weeks are going by quick but the day count is going very slooooly, but hey one day at a time suits me well, small steps are still the way forward, no way am I going to start running ahead of myself I might fall off my roller coaster and hurt myself.

Little Man was dropped off at 7 this morning, staying til lunchtime, and then son is picking him up.

Nothing on the job front yet that I want,I keep looking, not going to get stressed about it, and I won't be pressured into something I don't want to do.

Feeling quite settled with myself as the new week starts, but am aware that my thoughts and feelings do change like the weather.

I will win again today simply because I have no wish/desire to play today. and that won't change today, and that is soooo very POSITIVE thinking.
