Hey Suzanne well done on 10 months gamble free amazing achievement and such an inspiration love reading the positives of recovery really spurs me on to achieve the same. Hope to follow in your footsteps later in the year. Thanks very much for your continued support throughout my own recovery don't know how you find the time to support so many people.
Hi suzanne
you're on a different planet today to where you were 10 months ago. there's defo no going back to that hell hole for you, all the hard work of recovery is now paying dividends, you're truly winning without staking a penny, well done.
I'm off to get my haircut too, my daughter said to me yesterday "what's with the Ed Sheeran look dad" (cheeky blonde) so I think it's time to get it sorted ...here's a quote from the ginger crooner Ed,
"everything will be ok in the end, if it's not ok, then it's not the end."
have a lovely gamble free day Suzanne...onwards and upwards....Ginger x
HL,
Thank you sooo much for your supportive message, it means a lot to get one from the other side (lol) and I am sooo pleased Mr HL is doing well and embracing recovery, onwards and upwards is only way to keep moving forwards. Xxx
Hi Suzanne, it's not easy for us fellas in the hairdressing department....I ask for a number 3 all round and a trim on top....it depends on which girl does the cut....Sometimes I come out with a 1980s Spandau Ballet wedge.......Gollllld!!
have a great evening ...Ginger x (it wasn't a wedgie today)

Good morning diary,
307 days today of winning, and I will win again today, because I have no wish to gamble my life away to,a self destructive addiction, that is simply utter madness.
Weather not looking good to wake up to, but it sure feels good to wake up having been gambling free for 307 days, Infact it feels
FANTASTIC because it is not controlling me anymore, how positive is that, very very POSITIVE.
Wishing everyone a good, strong and in control gambling free Sunday,
307 days clean!
What else is there to say, other than... well done indeed!!
Keep up the great work.
Warm regards... S.A 🙂

308 days and flying my friend.
Have a great gamble free day.
Luv Steve xxx
Thanks all for your messages much appreciated.
Good MONDAY morning diary.
308 days of my recovery and not even one single penny spent on any form of gambling, and to be honest gambling is the very very last thing on my mind, and when I do think about it at this time, it repulses me, everything about it, because I know what it can do
Had a lovely day yesterday son and his family came round for Sunday lunch, and from about 5 pm onwards just watched 3 films that OH had got. if anything takes your mind of stuff watching a good thriller/twist movie certainly does,
It's snowing here at the moment but I will walk up to town with a light heart today because my life at this time is totally free from gambling.
Abstaining and maintaining one day at a time, I know I can do this, soooo very positive and enlightening for me.
Wishing everyone a good, strong and stressfree gambling free day.

Just a note to everyone on here, we cannot ever be cured from the addiction of gambling, but with 100% comittment to wanting to stop, we can achieve this by accepting recovery and to accept recovery we have to want to put every single barrier in place, whether that be blocks, self exclusion, GA meetings, whatever it takes, because that is the only way we can abstain from this addiction. Otherwise to continue gambling is the road to our own hell. To leave any door open and think we are cured is utter madness to ourselves, because even if we gamble and win we are not happy,,Infact to win made us worse, we want the anticipation of nearly winning, and any big win would only mean bigger bets, the more we win the more we lose.
the addiction loves us winning, because it knows we will stake even more.

Excellent post Suzanne, lets hope the masses take note
