Good morning diary,

329 days 47 weeks of winning.

Back to work today, still feeling rough, this virus is not going anywhere lol.

This is only my 3rd week so do not want to be off sick, so will work through it as best I can.

Wishing everyone a strong, positive and stressfree gambling free day.

Suzanne xx

Thanks all for your very supportive posts xx

Good morning diary,

330 which is another nice round number to reach, keeping strong, no gambling thoughts and feeling slightly better this morning.

Life seems to be on a go slow at the moment lol, even though I am keeping busy with work, home and family.

Netherless slowly but surely I am abstaining by maintaining and taking one day at a time. my choice every day.

Wishing everyone a strong positive and happy gambling free day.

Thanks Steve, Tri and Cheryl your support means a lot xxx

Good morning diary,

331 days and staying even more focused and determined now as one year is getting nearer .

I feel sooo much better today, still have nasty cough but head has cleared and it's strange but I didn't realise how low I felt, until this morning with feeling lighter and positive.

My job is going well ( the hours are good and there is not the stress that I had with my previous job).

So even with 11 months under my belt, the roller coaster journey of recovery still goes on with my high and low feelings, guess it is still part of the process of being a CG in recovery, as long as I recognise it, I can live along side of it at this time.

I could quite easily have just shut myself away over the weekend because I felt so low, and it wasn't just because of my chest infection, I recognised that it was also to do with my abstinence, because it does take 100% commitment at all times, and it does take it out of us at times.

But back to feeling positive and looking forward to the future, one day at a time lol.

The only way to a positive happy and healthy future is through recovery, and as Duncs said to me a while back, let's not waste another minute.

Wishing everyone a strong focused and stressfree gambling free day.

Suzanne xx

Wow Suzanne fast approaching the year mark.

I can relate to feeling low because it is a daily battle with ourselves not to gamble , I always assumed it got easier but it seems sometimes it is so so hard , makes me grumpy , snappy , head aches and just want to close the door and be on my own.

I guess the harsh reality is gambing will be with us forever in the background and we need to find ways of combatting them , I have still to find ways to snap out of it when im feeling low but im determined it wont push me back into my old ways.

Thanks for your continued support in my diary means so much x
