Hi, Suzanne,

Thanks very much for your support and encouragement, much needed. I suspect that I still have a long way to go but don't we all, it's probably time for me to take one day at a time instead of seeking instant fixes.

Hope the house moves soon with minimum stress. And of course estate agents, solicitors and mortgage lenders are all staffed by wonderful people whose sole mission is to help you through the whole process. Or maybe not...but it will still happen eventually.

Sounds like you had a relaxed & restful Sunday Suzanne. Just what we all need on these cold winter days.

Your gamble free time is just awesome.

Keep up the good work.

Warm regards.. S.A 🙂

Hi Suzanne, thanks for your post of 17/1/16 on not giving up on me, I feel like i have given up on me. The loss of the monies is still really raw with me, I know it is no consolation to many on here who are in a worse situation than me (debt, loss of partner through gambling) but I still feel after a month of no gambling, that I have as my title says 'lost my life'. The amount I can spend a week is so small it ....................... hurts I guess. I certainly don't feel better off now I have stopped. Sorry for the moan, but it has to get better. Thanks for sticking by me with posts xxxx Paul xx

Hi Suzanne

Thanks for your support on my diary. I've long admired the care you show to so many others on this board. Your support clearly helps a lot of people. I'm honoured you took time out with me.

Best

Yo S..

This line belongs on your diary...

'We are in recovery when we do abstain and maintain, recovery slowly unfolds itself.IF WE LET IT IN'.

It wasnt just a thought Suzanne, to me it was a thought that implies that your well on way in ' getting it '

Now just a thought from me....

1. Does you shiny depoition come out in real life as well as these diarys?

2. Are you a good wife and give your best every day.

3. Are you a good Mah, but let your children find there own feet in life, but there as a constant as and when needed?

4. Do you continue asking questions of your self, hence continue growing?

5.Do you get that life can be c**P, but in the knowledge that just round the corner the sun shines?

I could go on and on there Suzanne, but i think if you can tick all them boxes.... Well as you would say '' Happy days Indeed ''

Hey Blondie, thanks for dropping by the other day 🙂

It's funny but I knew I was carrying a lot of guilt in regards to the money but it really was a revelation to discover just how much it was peeing me off! Can't figure out how I didn't snap sooner! Maybe I am more patient than I give myself credit for :-0

Been watching back to back episodes of House Doctor...That Anne Maurice is A-mazing! I hope you have all your personal items (aka clutter) nearly stored away & all your odd jobs finished? @ least you know it's not the windows letting the house down 😉

Keep your head held high my friend, I heard it's gonna turn out nice again - ODAAT

Hello Suzanne,

Again, thanks for your post, it means alot.

Your right, you were not seeing things with regard to my user name. Decided, there was no need to step out of the shadow of the volcano as i'm aware that eruptions are still very possible in this cyber faceless person. Paul is my real me, slowly finding Nemo :-).

Suzanne, you are a real little star of these diarys with your support to newbies/ oldies and ' getties '. Just you've always got to remember to have time for yourself. A stressfull time your going through at the moment with your house sell, it can be hard stuck in a chain and not being able to properly plan for the future. But hold tight, odaat and be patient and hold out for the value you know its worth.

Its good to be reminded that sometimes you need to take things slowly and a break from digging sure gives the psyche a break. As a part of the recovery process, i'm stuck in the uncomfortable stage of Regret now, but will push slowly for now through the therapy of both real and cyber.

On a more of a lighter note i see you, ODAAT and Sandra as akin to the 'Andrews Sisters' now aptly named as the gamcare sisters. Ive got you down as the middle one in the clip below.....

https://youtu.be/SaaHMvRM7u0

Keep boogie, woogieing...

Have a good brisk day.... Paul

Enjoy your day my friend, I am going to be smiling all day now, just as well I am on day off from work.

Hey a thought from the man himself, Sinatra regrets I've had a few, but then again too few to mention, because I am now doing it myyyy wayyyy :))
