So its coming close to a month without gambling. I didn't gamble the whole of January because I did not have the funds to do so, but when I finally got my paycheque I lost £850 in a 15 minutes bookies session on roulette fobts (yes... a month's worth of work down the drain in 15 minutes). The whole of February was a similar situation - I couldn't gamble because I did not have the funds to do so, but when I got my paycheque yesterday I didn't feel the urge.
I feel that I am slowly gaining a bit of discipline back in my life. The month has just started, but I feel more confident in myself that I can move forward without the temptation. Hopefully I can sustain this.

You will find that things will definitely become a lot calmer if you hang on to your salary for much more important things rather than ultimately blowing it all on gambling.
