awesome work winningpost...

i dig your situation completely with that, in all my gambling years not once have i stuck to what i planned,

i remember many times going into bookies and thinking "yea just 1 hand of blackjack" or going to the arcade and thinking "just a few quid in 1 machine, i'll only be there 5 mins", needless to say that turned into half a day and i would leave with an empty wallet,

gone are thoese days for us both, 2010 has been gamble free for us both so far, lets keep it that way

best of luck mate 😀

sparkz shauny jeff thanks for your continued support...day 20 today and no bet...back to work today and been trying to get in touch with my ex to see when i can see kids next but been blanked so far..it is not easy to work around as i work shifts but think she still not happy at me going out on new years day even though we not together anymore..all sounds strange but wont complicate things on here as my councillor said my personal life got nothing to do with me problem gambling.i think it does and it does get me feeling low though..tomorrow is day 21 and i still wont gamble...take care folks.

keep up the good work mate sounds like your doing really well. Love your positivity as well, its definately the attitude needed to beat the problem. Just realised we stopped gambling on the same day as well so lets go one year together !

Stay strong mate. Ryan

in my own experience mate although separate problems can run into each other, they are still seperate. issues can blur each other if not tackled seperatly . it might not be the same for everone but certainly didnt help me in the past . just my opinion mate, keep fighting.

Cheers for your post on my diary winningpost.

20 days is something to be proud of especially given the betting opportunities that the xmas holiday period presents.

Stay strong fella.

day 22 and still no bet folks...what i have nt mentioned before is that i have kept my last betting slip in my wallet (Irish Lotto yankee) to spur me on to better things.a reminder of the dark days which can easily be slipped back into if not focused correctly...there are many diaries out there with hundreds of pages on..please dont think i am being ignorant not responding to them but hope you understand that it takes long time to read them all. as a relatively new poster on here i have basically stuck to recent diaries from november onwards...what i will point out is that you people with hundreds of pages on your diaries are an inspiration for all of us new posters to aim at...keep up the good work everyone..

Evening winninpost.

Funny you mentioning that old betting slip. Only the other day i put on a coat that had been in the wardrobe for a few months. In the zip pocket were a couple of old betting tickets. £100 to win on two horses at Chester. The tickets were actually unprocessed. Probably written out before going in the bookies and never put on due to losing my stake money on the dogs.

A reminder of the old me.

Keep up the good work pal.

Hi wp,

Thanks for your post on my diary. Remember you shouldn't feel compelled to sit and trawl through everyones diaries from cover to cover! Every story will have little gems of inspiration or painful reminders which we all need but your diary is to help you - and if others benefit from it its a lovely bonus. Keep your diary the way that is best for you and read what you have time for - it shouldnt be a chore and no one will think you are ignorent for not having read them all!!! (Well I certainly won't anyway!)

I like your posts wp - I have been on and off the site for a few years now with this effort my best so far and sometimes folk appear and just through their diaries you sense an positive energy. I get that from you. I have a feeling you are gonna do really well in your recovery and I liked your wee idea of keeping your last betting slip as a reminder. Thanks for sharing that!

Best wishes

Eyes X
