Hi June,

Have the best time, Suzanne is right you do deserve it.

So impressed about the food bank - you're right, the list is normally nasty boring stuff but so long as it's not perishable any time soon I expect they will take some of more tasty stuff for 'todays' customers whenever today is.

You're so right about the practise - I am unfortunately an expert already. Knowing my luck, even if I got onto said game show I would lose anyway 🙂

Anyway, Have a brilliant time my friend. Catch up with you soon.

Rach x

Hello Everyone, thank-you for your kind words 🙂

I am Home Sweet Home 🙂

It's lovely to get away from work & spend time (most of the time) with OH but oh, the cold in my little old lady bones was barely bearable & I couldn't wait to get back (if only I knew how to set the heating) :-0

2 nights ago, we were wandering along in a little tiny French town, literally in the middle of nowhere, where all the shops are in half light & suddenly my eye was drawn to a bright light & 2 men sitting like zombies staring up @ something! It literally took my breath away because I did not need to see their surroundings to know where they were & I swear a little piece of my heart snapped off 🙁 Even here, 'we' are no longer safe! I am fortunate that I am here in recovery as I asked myself the question, would I? & I am pretty sure I would have wanted to! 2 days ago, I simply didn't! Neither did I today when I walked into the Service station to grab a burger from the relative of a well known Old man who had a farm! A little over 6 months ago I would probably have considered whether I had time to throw a few bob in & come out complaining about the queue without OH getting suspicious. Disgusting eh? I was kicking myself for who I once was as I walked out & realised that I had walked past not 1 but 2 advertising boards on the way in, both for the fruities! Now that is disgusting!

I'm back, having been away from temptation (pretty much) for a few days & thankfully I'm still mad! I will catch up with you all soon! Be safe, be strong - ODAAT

Hi ODAAT,

Thanks for your supportive post on my diary.

Hope you enjoyed your break, apart from the gambling distraction popping up like that out of the blue....

As for the Chaf tag? Well not quite, really!! I may have grown up on a council estate in Norffffffff Lundin, and as they say - "You can take the boy outta the council estate, but you can't take the council estate out of the boy!!"" ;0) But I ain't no Chaffing chav rite guv'nor!!

Keep strong mush

Ade xx

Right girl, I left the smoke of Norf Lundin 25 years ago and headed Sauf West of Lundin Town meself. Not too far away from me ol manor, but far enough treacle if you know wot I means!! ;0)

It breaks me f*****G art evry time I go back to the manor to see some old boat races that I used to run around with. Mind you, the way my knee is at the mo. I ain't gonna be doing much running these days!!

Keep strong

June! (I sang that out loud like an excited child!) You're back me old mucker 🙂 So nice to have you back. I haven't been as diligent as I should have been on here, I have 'had the raging hump' and felt very sorry for myself but haven't succumbed (by the grace of God or the luck of the devil - can't decide which). Sounds like France was just what you needed. Anyway, will catch up properly later tonight.
