Thanks Suzanne, I have a debilitating condition that stops me from sleeping. Last year my thoughts would instantly turn to gambking especially when I couldn't sleep.....no more as I will not let gambling control me .....life is difficult enough without gambling being thrown into the equation too. Small steps one day at a time.

Arrgghhhhh never be complacent .....20 minutes of madness destroyed the last 9 months gamble free. Why I ask myself.....was in a happy place this week...what made me do it.....it wasn't easy....but wam when you want to gamble you will find any way. ONE GOOD THING.....I did not enjoy it one bit, I got no buzz at all out of playing the slots (perhaps it as to prove to myself that I no longer enjoyed them. So lesson learned, annoyed at myself.....account is closed right down and back to being in the positive mind set I've been all year. Small steps one day at a time.

Hi mo,

Your honest post has somewhat surprised me, even though I know this addiction can strike whatever frame of mind we are in.

Feeling really happy can be a trigger, curiosity won, and you have your answer, you do right to get straight back into positive mode,

20 minutes out of nine months, is a very tiny blip, and you have learnt from it, maybe time to strengthen your resolve even more now, and not leave the tiniest of gaps open,

You have done brilliantly and will continue to do so,

Thank you for sharing

Take care and keep going OAU

Hi mo,

Thanks for your reply, Listen that 20 mins was nothing, think of it as taking an irritating eye lash out of your eye, in and out quick :)))

we don't even know what we are doing once that addiction takes grip,,well done for getting rid of it so quickly,

OAUs mo,

Pleased to say managed to pick myself up into positive mindset after 20 min relapse earlier in the month. Back on track, one day at a time, never being complacent.......small steps one day at a time.
